Key Responsibilities:
Embrace entrepreneurial business ownership, driving your impact and success
Source, purchase, and sell ingredients across the feed and food industries, building expertise in commodity and ingredient markets
Develop and maintain relationships with existing accounts while actively prospecting and cultivating new customer and supplier partnerships
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and customers to maximize profitability and ensure long-term business growth
Monitor market trends, pricing data, and global supply chains to identify opportunities and risks in commodity sales and sourcing
Collaborate with logistics teams to arrange and oversee transportation, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products
Manage account portfolios, including order processing, invoicing, and follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction
Analyze commodity transactions and evaluate margins, using data to drive business decisions and strategies
Ensure compliance with customs, licensing, tax regulations, and company policies for domestic and international transactions
Help drive team success by sharing market knowledge, partnering with colleagues, and supporting business initiatives
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, or customer visits to strengthen market presence and build professional networks
Continuously learn and adapt to the dynamics of the agricultural and ingredient industry through on-the-job training and self-directed growth
Qualifications and Relevant Experience:Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, agriculture, sales, marketing, or related field preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiar with Paylocity
Willing to complete training on our industry-specialized software (NewBOS)
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Familiarity with customs, licensing, and tax compliance is a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and collaborate cross-functionally

Summary: The Marketing Internship provides hands-on experience in B2B marketing within the agriculture and ingredient distribution industry, with a focus on market analysis, data research, creative content development, and strategic insights that support business decisions. This internship marketing role is a newly created position, designed for someone eager to contribute fresh ideas and help shape how marketing integrates with our sales team. Interns will work closely with the Marketing Associate as their partner throughout the summer, while also collaborating with our Commodity Specialists and Sales team to monitor market trends, create marketing materials, and support customer outreach campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:
Create social media content for CERCO Group subsidiaries, including Cereal Byproducts, CERCO Ingredients, and Highland Milling
Use Monday.com to design and manage customer email campaigns, while learning and contributing to the development of this new CRM platform shared by sales and marketing
Work alongside the Marketing Associate to create brochures, e-packets, and other promotional items for salespeople, tradeshows, and customer visits
Attend 1–3 tradeshows (local and/or requiring travel) to support sales teams with setup, capture event photos, and assist in onsite marketing activities
Collaborate across departments to understand how marketing intelligence connects to sales and logistics
Track competitor activities and provide insights on industry developments and emerging opportunities
Qualifications and Relevant Experience:Basic Qualifications:
Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, communications, public relations, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong interest in creating social media content, graphics, and marketing design
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); exposure to Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or data visualization tools is a plus
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
High energy, self-motivated, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
Ability to travel within the US, if necessary
What You Will Gain:
Hands-on exposure to B2B marketing in the agriculture and ingredient distribution industry, including social media content creation, campaign design, and promotional material development
Experience using Monday.com, a CRM and project management platform, to build and manage email campaigns, track projects, and collaborate across sales and marketing

First-hand experience supporting tradeshows and customer events, including setup, photography, and live marketing support
